The Congresswoman is a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee – the committee that oversees our weapons sales and war policy.
This is not public service. This is corruption with a filing date.
I am not coming to Washington to get rich. I am not coming to retire. I am not coming to spend my final years collecting a paycheck and building a stock portfolio off a committee assignment. I am the son of veterans and have been a public servant my whole career. Florida’s 27th is a swing district. It requires energy, commitment, and someone who will fight every single day.
The system is not broken by accident. It is broken because the people in power designed it to work for them. I am running to change that – and I will not stop saying it, regardless who it makes uncomfortable. I will fight for:
1 An immediate ban on members of Congress and their families trading individual stocks while in office — no exceptions, no third-party excuses
2 Twelve-year term limits — career politicians serve themselves, not their constituents
3 Age limits for members of Congress — this district needs a fighter, not a retirement plan
4 A lifetime ban on members becoming lobbyists after leaving the House — no cashing in on your service
5 End out-of-control congressional luxury perks
6 Create a truly independent Congressional Ethics Agency with real investigative power — members of Congress cannot keep investigating themselves
7 Strengthen the Federal Election Commission to hold violators accountable
8 Pass a constitutional amendment to reverse Citizens United and end unlimited dark money in campaigns
9 Reconstitute the FBI’s public corruption unit and fully fund the DOJ’s public integrity unit
